  • Résumé

    Despite constant progress of organic semiconductor (OSC) transport properties, today exceeding some of their inorganic counterparts, organic thin-film transistors (OTFT) never emerged as a commercial application. This is thought to be due to the rapid evolution of their electrical characteristics under operating bias, ruining all improvements of their performances. The project’s objective is to evidence the major role of the high electric field at the drain end of the channel of OTFTs on their electrical instabilities, and to correlate electrical and material degradations using complementary nanoscale characterization techniques. This could allow to status on potential stability improvements, and hopefully open new routes to commercial applications.
