Résumé

L’immigration roumaine et moldave a pris un caractère massif depuis le début des années 2000. Ce mouvement migratoire vers l’Europe occidentale a engendré une situation nouvelle pour l’Eglise orthodoxe de Roumanie contrainte d’adapter ses structures. La formation de la métropole orthodoxe roumaine d’Europe occidentale et méridionale (MOREOM) a été, pour cette Eglise, un des moyens de faire face à cet enjeu. L'objectif de cette thèse est de montrer de quelle façon l'Eglise orthodoxe de Roumanie s'implante en France et de décrypter les effets potentiels de l’implantation de ses paroisses dans cet espace français. Le rapport de cette Eglise orthodoxe roumaine à l’espace français est analysé pour comprendre comment les paroisses s’organisent pour répondre aux besoins localisés des migrants. Le processus de formation de ces paroisses est décrypté à partir de l'analyse des pratiques et discours des acteurs concernés : les orthodoxes roumains et moldaves mais aussi les catholiques français. Les pratiques empiriques évoluent en praxis de l’espace et produisent, parfois, de nouveaux espaces religieux orthodoxes au-delà de la paroisse. La paroisse orthodoxe roumano moldave se présente comme un espace social produit par des solidarités plurielles. Au-delà de la communauté religieuse supposée se forment des groupes religieux orthodoxes différenciés, parfois uniquement motivés par l'entre-soi, théorisés sous l'appellation enclos-réseaux. Des trajectoires collectives à l'affect individuel, un système socio-spatial multiscalaire, se forme : du diocèse à l'échelle des paroisses jusqu'aux enclos-réseaux.

Résumé

The growing number of Romanian and Moldovan migrants toward Western Europe since the beginning of the 2000’s has forced the Romanian Orthodox Church to adapt its structures. The formation of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of Western and Southern Europe was, for this Church, one of the solution to face this situation. The objective of this thesis is to show how Romanian Orthodox Church is establishing itself in France and to describe the potential effects of the establishment of its parishes in this French space. The relationship of this Romanian Orthodox Church to French space is analyzed to understand how the parishes organize themselves to respond the needs of the migrants. The process of formation of these orthodox parishes is examined from the analysis of the practices and speeches of the actors concerned : the Romanian and Moldovan Orthodox but also the French Catholics. Empirical practices evolve into praxis of space and sometimes produce new Orthodox religious spaces beyond the parish. The Romanian Moldovan Orthodox parish presents itself as a social space produced by plural solidarity. Beyond the supposed religious community, differentiated Orthodox religious groups are formed, sometimes only motivated by the between-self, theorized under the name enclosures-networks. From collective trajectories to individual affect, a multiscalar socio-spatial system appears : from the diocese at the parish level to the enclosures networks
