This thesis develops a psychoanalytic reading of the disorder in sexual identifications, embodied in particular by the figure of the transvestite or the drag queen. The man / woman bipartition is not obvious because the speaking being lacks an innate essence about sex. Beyond the social norms that are theorized by the concept of gender; the real behind the ideal types of both sexes lies in the fact that there is, structurally, an irreducible mismatch between the jouissance of the body and the identifications. We therefore rethink the major concepts resulting from the work of Freud and the teaching of Lacan, such as the Name-of-the-Father, the Oedipus complex and the Phallus, which constitute a model for gendered positions. Psychoanalysis also makes it possible to think about the absolute singularity of the sexed subject in its relation to language and to jouissance through the concept of the symptom. A beyond the universal and the binary opposition of the sexes can open up with the logic of the not-all, which is homogeneous with the logic of the symptom. In addition, we generalize the masquerade process, which treats the phallic lack in a traditionally feminine fashion, with an emphasis on body image, to a certain practice of cross-dressing. The positions of contemporary queer subjects, that are non-conforming to gender expression norms or transgendered, whose affirmation goes beyond the fact to belong to a community but derives from a singular act of nomination, can be equivalent to an artistic achievement that we apprehend as a process of sublimation. The theatricality of the fairy figure defines a style, the camp aesthetic, in queer culture and in art, which treats gendered becoming as a sinthome.
Cette thèse développe une lecture psychanalytique du trouble dans les identifications sexuées, incarné notamment par la figure du travesti ou de la drag queen. La bipartition homme/femme ne va pas de soi car l’être parlant manque d’essence innée à l’endroit du sexe. Au-delà des normes sociales que permet de nommer le concept de genre ; le réel derrière les types idéaux de deux sexes tient au fait qu’il y a, de structure, une inadéquation irréductible entre la jouissance du corps et les identifications. Nous repensons donc les concepts majeurs issus de l’œuvre de Freud et de l’enseignement de Lacan, tel le Nom-du-Père, le complexe d’Œdipe et le Phallus qui constituent un modèle pour les positions sexués. La psychanalyse permet aussi de penser la singularité absolue du sujet sexué dans son rapport au langage et à la jouissance par le concept du symptôme. Un au-delà de l’universel et de l’opposition binaire des sexes peut s’ouvrir avec la logique du pas-tout, qui est homogène à la logique du symptôme. Par ailleurs, nous généralisons le processus de mascarade qui traite le manque phallique sur un mode traditionnellement féminin par un accent sur l’image du corps, à une certaine pratique du travestissement. Les positions des sujets queers contemporains, non-conformes aux normes d’expression de genre ou transgenres, dont l’affirmation dépasse l’appartenance à une communauté mais relève d’un acte singulier de nomination, peuvent s’équivaloir à une réalisation artistique que nous appréhendons comme processus de sublimation en lien avec la théâtralité de la figure de la folle qui définit un style, l’esthétique camp, dans la culture queer et dans l’art, et qui traite le devenir sexué en prenant valeur de sinthome.
Bu tez, özellikle travesti veya drag queen figürü tarafından somutlaştırılan cinsel özdeşimlerdeki karmaşanın psikanalitik bir okumasını geliştirir. Erkek/kadın ayrımı kendiliğinden değildir çünkü konuşan varlık cinsiyetle ilgili doğuştan gelen bir özden yoksundur. Toplumsal cinsiyet kavramının kuramlaştırdığı toplumsal normların ötesinde; her iki cinsiyetin ideal tiplerinin ardındaki gerçek, yapısal olarak, bedenin jouissance’ı ile özdeşimler arasında indirgenemez bir uyumsuzluk olduğu gerçeğinde yatmaktadır. Bu nedenle, Freud'un çalışmasından ve Lacan'ın öğretisinden kaynaklanan ve cinsiyete dayalı konumlar için bir model oluşturan Babanın Adı, Oidipus kompleksi ve Fallus gibi temel kavramları yeniden düşünüyoruz. Psikanaliz aynı zamanda, semptom kavramı aracılığıyla, dil ve jouissance ilişkisi içinde cinsiyetlendirilmiş öznenin mutlak tekilliğini düşünmeyi mümkün kılar. Cinsiyetlerin evrensel ve ikili karşıtlığının ötesinde, semptom mantığıyla homojen olan tam-değil (pas-tout) mantığı ile açılabilir. Ayrıca, fallik eksikliği geleneksel olarak feminen adledilen bir tarzda ele alan, vücut imajına vurgu yapan maskelilik (mascarade) pratiğini, belirli bir travestilik pratiğine genelliyoruz. Toplumsal cinsiyet ifade normlarına uymayan veya transgender olan, olumlanışları bir topluluğa ait olmanın ötesine geçip, tekil bir adlandırma ediminden türeyen çağdaş queer öznelerin konumları, bizim yüceltme ile açıkladığımız bir sanatsal yaratım sürecine eşdeğer olabilir. Kadınsı ibne figürünün teatralliği, queer kültürde ve sanatta, toplumsal cinsiyetli oluş bir üslup, yani camp estetiği, bir sinthome olarak ele alınabilir.
