My PhD project is to keep the beneficial balance in economical development and environmental protection for both developed and developing countries. Also, I will ague that we should not ban the transboundary movements of hazardous wastes, and instead, we may concentrate on issuing clearer provisions on the responsibilities of the importers and exporters of such wastes. The essential proposals in my PhD research may become the effective solutions for developed states to solve the complicated math happening due to the ban amendment of Basel Convention or how to dispose hazardous wastes economically. Besides, I will give necessary recommendations considered as policy implications for developing countries to control the transboundary movements of hazardous wastes to not only get benefits from such activity but also protect their environment citizens' health. Specifically, in the context of lacking modern technology and provisions in the developing world where are the main destinations of hazardous wastes, the movements of such waste need to be controlled more effectively in international environmental law. Hence, Basel Convention- the current global legal framework of exporting and importing hazardous wastes - has to be reformed to adapt the requirement of such activities in order to protect human life and environment in practice. This research will examine provisions taken based on Basel Convention and contribute to promote its effectiveness. Moreover, I will examine some treaties and agreements among the Convention's national members of to discover the reasons leading to the unjust rubbish movement in practice and the results of such activity will be the basis for proposing suitable resolutions to redress the disadvantages of the Convention. The treaties and agreements mentioned above will be selected and decided based on the information exchange with my supervisor.
