An essential category for ancient greek natural philosophers the meteors have been dealt with by several theories in physics. These theories all had a substancial cosmological side, because meteors were the object of an important philosophical debate. Initialized by the presocratics the discussion is achieved with aristotle's meteorology. The ethnogeographic analysis clearly shows that this ancien greek natural philosophers approach is unaware of both the relationship between men and their environment and the location of those meteors. These aspects are the concern of hippocratic physicians. Only they do master the concept of climate and therefore can developp geographical reflexions.
